London house upgrade

A young family based in Central London found that they were spending time in separate rooms owing to the dated layout of their house. As busy people, time together is scarce and they asked us to help with upgrading their home to help with their daily family interaction.

We were asked to project manage buildworks which involved removing 2 structural walls, replacing them with steel girders to enable the ground floor to be an open area for better family quality time.
 

The house had wear and tear resulting from various families and builders' work.

We encountered challenges including:

  - Diverting the existing plumbing system

  - Rotten floor joists under the 1st floor

  - Dated electrical wiring 
 

Although the job threw many surprises, we were able to solve these challenges within budget and the time constraints applied.
